Be sure to validate your code
I wanted to make a quick mention of http://validator.w3.org. If you don’t know of this site, you need to add it to your web toolbelt. For that matter give it a try on your site.
It is important that we strive to create quality code at FIU. In the long run we will we be providing to help people to create code that adheres to web standards. You might ask, why should I care. A few upsides to valid code: search engine optimization (SEO), valid sites cover most web accessibility rules, less stress on server = decreased cost, decreased page load time.
If you have any questions let me know and I will be glad to help. I will be adding links to these and other resources in the resources link the navigation above.
